Certification Path Payments
The route to the BCGC credential, on a payment plan. You bring the grief-specific education you already hold, Program Administration reviews it against the six published topic areas, and you sit the Board Examination without repeating coursework.
What your certification fee covers
- Application and eligibility review
- Education review against the six topic areas
- One Practice Exam attempt with a topic-area breakdown
- The proctored Board Examination at an 80 percent passing standard
- Verified practice hours review
- Credential issuance, including your credential number, digital credential, and printed certificate
- Your first year of certification
$975 today, then three monthly payments of $975. Total $3,900. Billed directly by INBGC, with no third-party financing and no credit application. The plan carries a premium of roughly four percent above the $3,750 pay-in-full price, which is the cost of financing.
How the plan works
- You begin the certification process as soon as the down payment is made, rather than waiting until the plan is complete
- Payments are collected automatically each month on the same date
- You may complete every step, including the Board Examination, while the plan is running. The credential is issued once the balance is cleared
- All fees are non-refundable, including amounts paid under a plan
This fee does not cover foundational grief coach training, which INBGC does not provide. Prefer to pay once? The pay-in-full price is $3,750. Want a specialty endorsement as well? The Specialty Path is $5,000, or $5,200 on a plan, and a specialty may also be added after certification for $1,250. Annual renewal is $495, beginning more than twelve months after you are certified. Cost a barrier? The INBGC Access Award reduces the certification fee for coaches serving communities with limited access to grief support.
